Senior Network Engineer

Location: All Latam - remote

Our client is rapidly growing and seeking a skilled engineer to lead their network operations. You'll take over the entire Juniper network management, including manage routers, switches, firewalls, and IP Transit circuits, troubleshoot LACP bundles, enhance BGP Routing, oversee backbone links, mitigate DDoS attacks, and collaborate with customers globally. Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience managing multiple routers in data centers or ISPs (preferably multiple POPs on the same AS of at least 100 Gbps).

  • Mandatory: 3+ recent years of experience with Juniper Networks products (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).

  • Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, ACLs, VPNs, and firewalling.

  • Expertise in production router software upgrades and graceful migrations.

  • Comprehensive experience with practical Internet routing using BGP (eBGP, iBGP) and OSPF.

  • In-depth understanding of LAN technologies and topologies, including VLANs, 802.1Q, 802.3ad, and LACP.

  • Experience in network security, including Firewalls, VPNs, IPS, and DDoS mitigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for our global network of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

  • Manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

  • Collaborate with upstream network and backbone providers for provisioning and troubleshooting.

  • Interface with customers to build and troubleshoot VPNs, GRE tunnels, and Load Balancer configurations.

  • Manage peering relationships and BGP sessions, ensuring perfect Anycast balance across a global network of POPs.

Nice to Have:

  • Extensive experience with enterprise-grade layer 7 load balancing appliances (e.g., Citrix or F5).

  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux or any shell scripting experience.

  • Working knowledge of logical network services (DNS, DHCP, etc.).

  • Prior experience with Juniper MX series routers and EX/QFX series switches.

  • Experience with JUNOS and a JNCIA-Junos or higher certification.

  • Familiarity with network tools like Wireshark, netflow/jflow, IPAM, RANCID, TACACS+.
